myopia (nearsightedness) and hyperopia
(farsightedness) as well as astigmatism.
It is performed solely by ophthalmologists.
Although
doctors’ opinions vary on the
subject, most highly regarded refractive
surgeons agree that having a ‘discount’
laser surgery center perform your
LASIK procedure is both a waste of
money and a risk to your own health.
While LASIK runs from $499 to $2,500
per eye, cost should not be the decisive
factor in choosing whether or not
to have the surgery performed.
